Peter Edwards from Brussels, Belgium!

Peter and Charlotte at the Dead Se

"This pic is to make up for the picture of that stiff guy in a suit you somehow found on the internet, here's one of me covered in Dead Sea mud. I guess it's supposed to be therapeutic.
It was. Made us laugh." - Peter
-I think he's vying for that "Best Pic" nomination. . . .
and it's makes for pretty good competition,
don'cha think? oh yes. . .
and I like it MUCH BETTER than that
lawyer guy in a stiff suit chapters below :-)
This is the family looking a bit sheepish in their party hats at Christmas dinner on a ski trip in Austria.
Hi, everybody.
I'm really really really sorry that I'm not going to be able to get there. I had been looking forward to this for a long time. But I hope you'll post this brief update to the blog (or whatever it is that you clever electronic people do) for anybody who might be interested in knowing where I am and what I'm doing.
I'm in Brussels, Belgium, right now, of all places, where we've been for the last 2 years. My wife of 24 years, Charlotte, is with me, as well as my youngest son, who's now a senior in high school. Of course, our "baby", Max, is with us, too (a 110 lb German Shepherd). Our two older boys are back in the US in college in Columbus, Ohio.
I'm working as the General Counsel of a pharmaceutical company. After my mission to Switzerland, I went to BYU for my bachelor's and law degrees, went into big firm private practice in Kansas City, made the switch to working "in-house" as a company lawyer, then had a series of interesting jobs leading me to where I am today. We've lived in Kansas City, Denver, Indianapolis, Columbus, and now Brussels. It's been fun, hard, painful.
We're finding it really hard to believe that in less than one year, we're going to be empty-nesters. How did that happen? It's going to be a time of real reflection as we try to figure out what happens next. We don't know whether we'll stay in Europe for a while, or head back to the US. We've loved being here, and have done incredible things -- skiing by the Matterhorn, snorkeling in the Red Sea, scuba diving in the Mediterranean, trips to Paris, London, Rome, etc. -- but we miss being able to see family more often (of course, they love coming here to visit). We also miss being able to get a good burger, find parking, shop when you want, and get decent customer service!
Anyway, I hope you all have a great time at the reunion, and know that I'm there with you in thought, if not in fact.
Fondly,
Peter Edwards
