Dear Classmates,
Ray sent me an email this morning sharing that his father passed away early yesterday morning. He had a serious stroke on September 12th and never fully recovered. Coach Odette was a wonderful teacher, coach, friend and father. His influence was felt by the entire school and our community. He was 72 and will be greatly missed. Comments are welcome at the bottom of this post.

One of the only men I truly respected. I had a great love for him and he had a great love for those he served...he will be missed!
A wonderful man, never to be forgotten by so many.
I have many fond memories of Coach Odette. He knew how to motivate young men as he treated them with confidence and respect. We will miss him.
A good man! He will be missed!
Whenever I saw Him and talked to him He was happy to see me. I remember He was always friendly to me from the graduation, to the age that I am now. I will miss seeing him, but I will always remember how he treated me as a friend. I will always pray for the help that His family needs now. It is hard to see Him go, but it would have been hard for him to suffer longer.
